The IMPRS conference of 2018, which took place on 5-7 June, was the first conference organized by the International Max Planck Research School for the Language Sciences. Eight keynote speakers, namely Chiara Barbieri, Andrea Ravignani, Enoch Aboh, Melissa Duff, Sophie Scott, Jeffrey Binder and Jean-Remi explored linguistic research from multiple scientific disciplines. The full programme can be found here. Furthermore, 46 masters and doctoral students presented their work in the poster session, for which the abstracts can be found here. In the Big Ideas Workshop, several unsolved and controversial research questions were discussed in small groups together with one of the speakers, ultimately resulting in a pitch contest.
The full conference booklet, including speaker abstracts, can be found here.
The 2018 IMPRS conference was sponsored by Language in Interaction, ANT Neuro, Tobii Pro, EyeLink, MedCat, Ipskamp Printing, Center for Language Studies and the IMPRS for Language Sciences
